These videos are excellent. Thanks for explaining every detail!
does it work with a 4x90mm frame?
Love how the data is collected and presented here, amazing effort!
Wow, all the work you do is incredible! Thank you so much for taking the time. And above all, for sharing it with the inline community.
Can you recommend what wheels I need for inline outdoor skating. I bought a set of hyper formance g+ 80mm 85A pared with bones racing bearings. I dunno they just don't roll that far I feel like I'm stuck in glue. Would you recommend me changing the wheels for something like rollerblades hydro's or is there something else you could suggest?
Hi Ivo, thanks for all the info you provide… quick observation, I believe the thumbnail needs to be corrected on the word return
Is it possible to fit skate wheels to a suitcase for longevity of the suitcase wheels?
100% we do that all the time at our skateshop in Amsterdam
@@Thisissoul thanks, perhaps make a youtube video about it. 😊
I almost gave up because I still can't even push forward properly. My skates are broken in and I can lift front and back of my feet that makes me feel uncomfortable/uncontrolled. Thanks for the information. Will buy new skates😊
good luck! check out Thisissoul.com or come by one of our stores to fit your skates.
Trying to downsize I went down 2 sizes (and 2 shells). The new skates have about 8mm gap in length behind my bare foot. Is there any liner that can accommodate such low available space?
The specs on our website mention the liner thickness. check it out!
I would like to know how are we supposed to keep these skates clean on the inside. Wonder if this channel has any liner cleaning videos.
Good question! Here is the answer www.thisissoul.com/blogs/maintenance/how-to-clean-your-skates
@@Thisissoul thank u! but carbon/nonremovable liner skates are not covered :( I havent seen anyone cover these other than Bill Stoppard sharing his foot infection video in the past.
Broke my arm yesterday the ONE time I don't wear my guards, gear up people
Thanks for the warning. Hope you heal up soon, man!
good luck recovering. also, stay low! you cant brake your arms if you are already close to the ground.
the exoskins definitely do have a couple plastic pieces you're missing. my mediums are crazy long
Just a quick note....these are Not actually emergency brakes!......they were actually designed to "slow" the rider down, they were not designed to come to a full stop from high speed. There was a guy on another video that actually engineered these "brakes", and he said they were never intended to be used to Stop fully. Apparently there's confusion, and many new riders think it's some sort of Emergency brake, that's not really the case....it's just designed to "slow" you down, that's it.
I prefer my skates a bit looser. For me it's better for top souls and backslides. But everyone is different. 😉
Fair enough! to get more sideways flex it can be nice to have them looser.
I started skating 1995 😅 first skate was a Roces Rome. When the frame was gone I got some Majestic 12.
legendary
I had a k2 aggressive skate that had a 6 edged axel for rockerin all four wheels in several setups.
jup! those are great as long as they have metal frame spacers instead of the plastic ones
I agree don't get cheap soft boots. Get expensive soft boots or a hard boot that has properties from a soft boot. K2 just came out with some har boots that I wanna get
the k2 hardboots still have way too much sideways flex unfortunately
@@Thisissoul I'm not too concerned with that. I've been on K2's forever. they work just fine for as long as I wear them tight
Thank you for all explanations. I have one unique pair of Rollerblades because here is too expensive and my Feets are huuuuge. So i had no choice but picking one that its ok Size, it doesn't hurt my thumbs , but it kills my ankles. People told me to use better socks, but even with socks and trying to improvise with some fluffy materials(That helps a little) after like 40 minutes i start to feel ankles, both feet :(
Maybe We can help you with bootfitting your shell and punching out the pressure point. www.thisissoul.com/products/custom-tool-bootfitting
Good job 👍
Thanks 👍
Congrats. The shop is going to do great and Berliners are lucky to get such a great business.
Hope so! thank you
what is your skate setup?
This boot is from Them Skates
The 909 are the most beautiful skates i've ever seen..
they look amazing
"BRAKING" You got it right in the description but the title is wrong.
aah thank you so much! corrected it.
🤘🏼🔥
Which frame you are using .?
Are the Macroblade 80 skates (softboot) decent to start out with (not a complete beginner)? Will they last several years?
No, the macroblade is a terrible skate
@@Thisissoul Can you share more detail? The YT reviews I seen for it like them. Would the RB Cruiser be a better option?
Thanks for this focus on Mermaid slide!
You are so welcome! without mermaid technique its scarry to skate on one leg.
*braking
thank you! corrected it
4:30 predator stance 6:45 penguin skating 8:00 look where your going 9:13 evolve steps
thank you for the list!
Awesome explanation of the differences between the versions - literally the first I've come across. I'm tossing up between the FR UFR, Faction Tactical Midnight or the SEBA CJ 2 Prime for a pair of aggressive skates. I have a wide toe-box but narrow heels so need the ankle strap to lock in my heel. I love the Faction in white but they seem to scuff and mark easily so I think maybe the SEBA CJ as they have the skid plate already mounted to the side of the toe-box to prevent damage to the boot. I think the Faction comes with a skid-plate but you have to drill the holes and fit yourself, so it doesn't feel like the boot was really designed for that? The UFR's look great and will no-doubt take a lot more scuff-abuse but I think maybe a less rigid boot might be better for aggressive skating? If only I could afford the plane ticket to come to Amsterdam for a week to try on different boots!
all those 3 skates are great skates. dont worry about the skid plate too much both the faction and the cj are wide. the forward flex is the biggest diference between the cj and faction. the faction is more flexy and the cj is more stiff.
Are the superfeet insoles placed inside the liner?
yes
It looks like your spreadsheet only has measurements for three shells. Is there a version of the spreadsheet with more entries?
you have to look at the excel filters to enable all the models. I corrected it for you right now.
@@Thisissoul Thanks!

@@ThisissoulThanks! Your videos help me a lot in learning! I've improved a lot in a month and my legs are getting stronger every day, haha. Skating is a ton of fun. The only tutorial I haven't found is about sprinting! I've analysed a lot of Bill Stoppard's videos but I think a tutorial made by you guys would be a lot easier to grasp, could you do one please?
Do you have a link to that piece of plastic to keep the tongue in place? Looking at Reign liners but worried they'll make the boot too sloppy, are they much thinner than the stock liner? Thanks
Unfortunately not yet. If you email customer support then we can sort you out :)
Wow, these are great news 😃 Congratulations! I’ll visit your Berlin shop for sure 😊🎉
thank you!
Nice, been there during re:Turn, see you in 2025, all best with the new location!!!

do you seek managers by chance? :D
Or test riders? 😅😎😁
Ha thanks! We have a manager
So well deserved!! Congratulations on your success!!
Thank you so much!!
Well done
I'm stoked want some fr1's really soon😊
shoot us a message before you come so that we can make sure we have it ready in your size.
So happy for this opening. I thought it was going to be a “real” full store, I was glad to see it is part of one already existing: I think for a start it’s a good idea, with the price of rent in the city, that could be hard. The Berlin community is growing, and I am happy we’ll have a proper store.
it might be a full store in the future, but we are starting small and it will grow for sure over time.
Let's have fun on wheels!
Super cool collaboration Jonathan ✌🏼
Congratulations🎉 Right in my old hood❤
congrats 🎉🎉🎉
This is terrific news. Been following your journey and happy for your milestone.
thank you!
congrats, i'll be in berlin in august, will def be stopping by.
cool!
Excellent. Missed the address, somewhere near mauerpark? On the subject of customisation, can you do any shell molding like they do for ski boots?
For shell bootfitting we only have the staff expertise and equipment in Amsterdam right now. The address can be found on our berlin page
Danziger Straße 31 :)
Good luck. I have a lot of fond memories I lived in Kreuzberg Berlin in 1991.
Friend, this model, or the NRK Fun? I wanted to know if the PRO is really worth the price difference?
